1948: Walter at Beck home in Lexington, North Carolina.
1948: Mary in New York.  Walter and Mary drove from Danville to New York early in 1948 so Walter could show off his bride to his family.  Mary was having terrible morning sickness at the time.
1948: Mary and Hansel von Himpelschausenheimer at 105 Sunset Drive home in Danville.  Hansel and a canary named Dixie were wedding gift sfrom Walter's father who owned and operated a pet store at the time.

1948: William Michael Windsor was born to Mary and Walter Windsor on October 2, 1948 in Columbus, Georgia. 
1948: Mary feeding baby Billy - October 1948.

1948: Walter was broadcasting Columbus Cardinals baseball games while manager of WGBH in Columbus, Georgia.
1948: Piggly Wiggly now stands on the site of the Alamo Plaza Motel in Columbus, Georgia.  Walter and Mary lived at the Alamo Plaza for a short while before their first child was born.
1948: Mary was taken to the hospital from the Alamo Plaza Motel, where Mary and Walter were residing.  Walter leased this home at 4609 Dogwood Drive while Mary was in the hospital so Mary and Billy could leave the hospital to a real home.
1948: 4609 Dogwood Drive.  Unfortunately, this home was apparently a house of ill repute before Walter rented it as strange visitors came by at all hours.
